I'm Selena at Books Inside My Head and I aim to teach engaging and thought provoking English lessons to each and every one of my students.
As a qualified English teacher with 20 years of leading examination success, I aim to build students' confidence and competence in this challenging and thoroughly rewarding subject.
I believe that with the right spark and energy, English can be enjoyed by any child. I am deeply passionate about students becoming accomplished readers and writers - skills which will serve them for the rest of their lives.

Students from Year 7 to Year 13 will benefit from a personalised learning journey targeting their individual academic needs. They will be challenged and motivated to achieve their very best at whatever stage they are at in their school journey.
A key focus of this learning journey is to cultivate a love of reading. Students will be required to read for pleasure alongside preparing for their academic qualifications.
